About Us
The mission of Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services is to strengthen the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families through equitable access to mental health counseling and social services programs. We work to eradicate stigma and help our diverse communities by providing mental health, social services, and community support through direct service, access to resources, education and outreach.
All SYFS clinical staff will be using last year’s Pride 5K funds to participate in an LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Care training specifically for therapists in April provided by The Bridge Training Institute of Open Sky, which runs Safe Homes.
The First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury is an inclusive community of spiritual discovery and compassionate service. We are an Open and Affirming congregation that welcomes all people into full participation in church life, including Baptism, Communion, marriage and leadership. We provide financial, food and volunteer support to 22 local, national and global organizations who work to improve the lives and health of the marginalized. In addition, we currently serve as the meeting space for 27 Shrewsbury non-profit groups.
